Solar Energy Set SES P1207
This product is a solar power supply system. It transforms sunlight
into DC electricity, which is then stored in the rechargeable bat-
tery. The battery can be used to power the provided LED lights
and other small DC applications, like charging MP3 players or
mobile phones. This product is good for cottage, camping, out-
door activity, and wherever there is no grid connection.

Before using, carefully read and understand the instruction man-
ual. Keep it for further reference. Please connect with right polarity
to prevent damage. Red indicates positive (+), and black indicates
negative (-).
Do not short circuit any lead cables.
Always switch off charge regulator before connecting or disconnect.
Before connecting the components please install and x the solar
module, charge regulator and battery as described following.
Please always connect with the sequence of:
A. Battery
B. Application (DC Lights ...)
C. Solar module
Please always disconnect with the sequence of:
A. Solar module
B. Application (DC Lights ...)
C. Battery
Max. output current from the charge regulator can not exceed 4A.
All the parts are not water proof, except for the solar module.
Please use the battery, charge regulator and applications only in
dry and secure areas.
Clean the surface of solar module periodically with a soft cloth.
Please charge the battery using the solar module prior to rst use
for approx. 3 days with full sunlight or using a suitable charging
device.
This product is not intended for use by young children or in rm
person unless they are being adequately supervised by a respon-
sible person to ensure that they can use the application safely.
Do not expose the battery to re or high heat. It may explode. Do
not dispose of the battery as waste.
How to use (See Fig. 1)
1. Rechargeable battery:
Connect the rechargeable battery to the “Battery”
terminal of
charge regulator. Use the provided lead cable (See Fig. 1, no.5).
Be sure to connect with right polarity. Please follow the con-
nection sequence:
A. Red cable (+)
B. Black cable (-)
For disconnecting use the reverse sequence.
Disregard may lead to damage or injuries!
Please charge the battery using the solar module prior to rst use
for approx. 3 days with full sunlight or using a suitable charging
device.
2. Charge regulator:
2.1 Mounting:
A foldable eye hook hanger (see Fig. 1, 2d) is available at the
back of the charge regulator for mounting.
2.2 Protection functions:
The charge regulator provides following protections for the whole
system:
A. Over-discharge protection (Battery voltage < 11.0V ± 0.3V):
When activated, “Working” indicator (see Fig. 1, 2c) will go off,
the charge regulator will shut off power output from battery
to prevent damage to the battery. In such case, please stop
using any application, and charge the battery under good sun-
light for 2-3 days.
B. Over-charge protection (Battery voltage >14,0 - 14,5 V)
When activated, “Charging” indicator (see Fig. 1, 2b) will go
off, the charge regulator will shut off power input from solar
panel to battery.
C. Over-load protection (>4A): When output power is too big,
the fuse in the charge regulator will be melted to prevent dam-
age to the controller itself. In this case the fuse (4A) has to be
replaced in order to bring the charge regulator back to work.
The charge regulator has to be turned on (ON/OFF switch,
see Fig. 1, 2a) in order to activate all the above mentioned
protection.
2.3 Connecting possibilities
Two 12V output sockets for audio jack (TS), 6,35mm connec-
tors, are available on top of the charge regulator. The provided
LED DC lamps can be connected to these output sockets. A
fully charged battery can support the two provided LED lights
for approximately 6-8 hours.
The USB output can be used to charge standard USB devices
like MP3 players, digital cameras, mobile phones, navigation
systems.
An included cigarette lighter socket can be connected to the
terminal of charge regulator (See g.1, no.6). It could be
used like a standard cigarette lighter socket. Cigarette lighter
adapter devices not included.
